Holy...

Hi,

First off, I want to say how sorry I am that you went through that with a company that I used to represent. It's been some years, but in fact, I was operating out of the Sacramento office at the time that you were having issues. In fact, I may well know Scott.

At the time I was working there, if I'd known that those people were doing that to people I'd not have worked for them. I realize this site is really only a scam warning site, but I was just writing a piece on the advisable action of properly insulating a home, and the money it can save you.

Being I used to work for them, and their products are indeed some of the best I'd seen ever, and having experience in such things, being a carpenter myself, I was going to refer to them. But when I googled "Pacesetter corporation" your site instantly popped up. I mean, it just directed me straight here.

At first, I thought it was a joke, I'd seen this before, where people play the "this place sucks" card, to effectively market for them. But obviously not. Again, I'm so sorry you went through that. It's not how a company should operate, without a doubt.

I didn't realize their customer service was so lousy. I mean, not just lousy, straight deceptive. Not good at all. I did know they're method of making a sale was a little high pressure. Anyway, I know I can't help you, but offer my condolences anyway.

Are your windows doing good still? I know that now that they're out of business, that has to be a concern, that they'll last the amount of time they were touted to last. Though they were entirely way too expensive, in my opinion. I figured they had a reason for the pricing, but yeah, just windows... Even if really high quality. Too bad their customer service and installation service didn't match product quality. Then it might have been worth the price. But not this way.

In any case, I'm sorry, I don't mean to babble at you. I'm just sorry for you, as I used to preset appointments for them at one time, near the time that you essentially had to battle with them like that, and didn't know it.

I didn't stay with them more than 6 months or so, I think it was actually around '03 that I joined with them, then a friend of mine called me and said "hey, I need a crew back together, you down?" so I left and went back to construction. It paid me better anyway, lol.

I hope you folks are doing better now, and have been able to help others avoid problem companies like that. What you're doing is wonderful. Thank you.

Peace & Prosperity,

Jamie D. aka Tiger

Re: Holy...

Yeah, the windows are still holding up pretty good, except for those little plastic things on the outside which supposed to help drain condensation or something... a lot of those things have fallen off.

Re: Holy...

I have the replacement parts BUT have no idea how to replace the clamp / clasp / locking device that is at the bottom of the window. When you open a window you need to pull the 2 clasps in (one on each side of the window) and then move the window up and then use them to lock it in place. I hope this is descriptive enough of what I'm asking for. Can you help me???
