lifetime warranty??? what a joke

We saw Pacesetter advertising at Sam's Club, and they were offering a special deal for Sam's Club members. As we needed new doors, we thought we would get an estimate. The price was outrageous, and we actually had him talked down $1,000 and then agreed to the contract. We immediately had issues with the product, and they sent out a repair person, who advised us, that we should have read the small print. That while the product is warranted, we would have to pay to have them repair the issues. We refused, as they had not been installed correctly in the first place. Called our salesperson, and he said he would take care of it. So that one issue was handled. Well it has been a year later, and now the window on the exterior door will NOT stay up. it appears that something is broken, which led us to try to call the Rep and get it fixed, that is when we learned that they have conveniently disappeared. I will be sending a letter to the Attorney General. I did check the Better Business website.. but they maintain that Pacesetter was NEVER a member of the BBB. I could have sworn that the salesman said they were members. Well just wanted to put in my two cents. Anyone out there know how to fix the window on the door???

Re: lifetime warranty??? what a joke

I have the same problems with the storm doors I bought from these low-lifes. Seems that the rails broke on 1 of the doors and the entire sliding window fell out of the door. On the other 1 the window is stuck open, what a bunch of junk. Anyone have any info on who I can contact to get this fixed or if there are any parts available?

Mine did the same thing! I found someone that was still sending out replacement parts on the doors, they wanted me to do it myself and pay for the shipping. They sent out the wrong parts! and then demanded i pay them for the shipping. I refused naturally. My door is falling apart and i still owe way too much. I love how they fall off the face of the earth and still expect us to pay for this shotty work.
